Long Distance Love at the Long Center⎥Austin, TX

You want to know what I love? I love it when couples go to incredible lengths to be with each other! Not only do I love it when they tell me their stories during their shoot, I also love to see the sparkle in their eyes as they earnestly share their journey. I got the opportunity to hear a special love story at Danielle & Bryan’s engagement session at the Long Center. Danielle, or as I know her, Dane, and I go way back. She and I met in class at Austin Community College. She was an exchange student from the Philippines, but sadly had to return home after her student visa expired.

Shortly before she moved, Bryan proposed to her, and for the past year they have planned their wedding from a long distance. We’re talking about a 14-hour time difference here! If that’s not real love then shoot me in the foot with an arrow! Dane emailed me and shared her engagement session idea, and I loved it. She wanted to feature Austin’s big skyline because she and Bryan love Austin so very much. It was a perfect idea to do their shoot at the Long Center for the Performing Arts.

We met at the Doug Sahm Hill Summit, and it was so cool to see the huge Austin skyline up close and personally! We stopped through these chic bushes and grabbed some impromptu shots. It was so much fun getting to do something new for their shoot, but what I really loved the most was getting to spend time with these two and hearing their story! It’s been over a year since Dane and I spent time together. She’s moving back to Austin permanently in June, and I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Dane and Bryan’s connection, kindred spirits, and love for one another made their shoot such a dream! It’s obvious when you’re around these two that they are so very much in love. Bryan looked lovingly at Dane while she described how the two of them met. It was an honor to be a part of their engagement session and for the opportunity to tell their beautiful story. They’re getting married in their home country and I know their wedding will be absolutely beautiful!
